It amazes me how many places carry these but NOT pipe tobacco or pipes! Ted was trying to remember Capt. Black coupon offers. I hope this serves to jog his memory. I know its not EXACTLY what he was hoping for but ...

Dill's pipe cleaner is owned by the same International Pipes & Accessories, that also owns Dr. Grabow pipes and the Sparta factory (I guess it is still Sparta Industries). Some readers who don't live and breathe Dr. Grabow might not know that.

I wonder if Dill's is sold through the same jobber/sales people who sell Dr. Grabow pipes? If it is different people, then they need to promote that person and quickly find out why Dill's is readily available, and pipes require a scavenger hunt.

Pipe cleaners aren't tobacco related products in many people's view. I've seen them in the hobby/craft section at Walmart's sold as colored fuzzy bendable sticks.

Dill's Pipe Cleaners are the tops in my book. They are not as big as all other pipe cleaners and therefore will 'fit' into a P-Lip without too much trouble; as well as many other brand stems. They are ready available in all grocery stores here for they are very useful in cleaning other items besides pipes. Many arts and craft stores carry them for, not only cleaning tools, but for bending into figures of animals and people for children's entertainment.

However, one must be very explicit in explaining what he/she wants when asking some store clerks for pipe cleaners. I was immediately taken to the section with household cleaners; such as Drano!

Uh-oh! Did I see "Made in China" on admin's photo?

Maybe it is China, North Carolina?

If the nickel plated DG Vikings ever return, expect the plating will be done in China.

Although I don't know why Erie Plating couldn't do it.

My 1983 Omega has a tarnished look to it.
Looks like a chrome plating that wore off, of brass.

I think there is a diff. The ones called chenille stems (for crafts) are usually not cotton and are longer. They do work in the pipe, just not as well and do come in handy if ya need something long. They don't seem appreciably any less expensive either.
