I've read some of the posts here on Granger tobacco. As with others, I remember my dad and granddad smoking their pipes. When I got the pipe holder from my mom a few months back it still had a pouch of Granger from probably 40 years ago. I've wondered about trying Granger so I read some reviews on Tobacco Review.com. I was surprised to find so many positive reviews.
My question is: Should I spend the money ($15 - 20) for a tin? I like burley. I can't remember the aroma when my dad and grandad smoked it so I'm not sure what to think.
Is Granger a favorite of many here?
Thanks.

| Have no experience with Granger. Buy a tin. You cannot evaluate a blend from a pouch, especially an old pouch, or even a new pouch. |

I've noticed that the 14oz tins go anywhere from $20-40 plus shipping. I'm a little nervous putting out that much right yet. I'll see if any others respond who've had some experience with it. _________________ Rev. Avery |

Yes, Ted I did check out the reviews. Thanks. I was surprised there were so many good reviews.
I'm just hoping someone here might have some insight from their own experience. The folks here offer good direction ... just looking for more _________________ Rev. Avery |

Can't help from ever smoking it, but a couple of reviews got my attention. They said Granger was great for blending with other tobaccos.
I'm hoping you get it and maybe you'll "loan" me a little pinch....ted |

Granger is a favorite of mine. I have a tub open, and 2 more as back-up. I would say go for it. _________________ If you save up all your pennies and you put away your rocks, you'll always have tobaccy in your old tobaccy box |

RA, JRCigar has it for 19 and change in the tin or 15.25 for a pouch six-pack. Plus shipping, of course, and I've heard their shipping has gotten high.
I'll look around here and see if I can find it anywhere in a single pouch. |

Expect Mac to weigh in on this. I recall he has some experience with Granger. If not, I'm certain he will want to try.
You can always trade it here if you don't like it, but assure us it's better than Mix 79.
