If this passes we will be in big trouble bill:Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act, H.R. 1256
and a lot of people will be out of work so I would write my leaders and let them know you dont like it

This looks like legislation that won't survive the first committee. But bills like this will come back with every Congress. We need to focus on the sponsors of this bill, and work to get them out of Congress.

Just placed an order with my tobacconist. The future isn't rosy. She confided that a large price increase is coming Sept. 10th. I assume this is a tax increase, but I'm not certain.

She also reported they were experiencing increasing interest and sales in roll-your-own tobacco products. Their sweet straight virginia has become been a big seller for them. Also herb additives may be disappearing.

Soon we may be left with air-dried burley and nothing else.

What are you guys hearing?
