At the JR Cigars today, I was looking at the DG rack pretty carefully.  I started to buy a new Grabow, which I've never done, but thought I'd ask for some advice.  There were quite a few different models there but there were a few I was particularly interested in:

-There was a Collectors series pipe that was as large as a Big Pipe, but a good bit cheaper, about $20 as compared to $31 for the Big Pipe;

-There was a banded Golden Duke that looked great for less than $20;

-There was a Redwood that looked nice for about $25.  This is the most expensive pipe except the Big Pipe.

-There was a Royalton that looked nice for about $20.

Anyone know much about the Royalton as compared to the Redwood?

Steverino, for about $120 you can walk out with all of 'em. That's the best option. DGAD lives!

I'd have the same problem-which one to buy? So like DRB I'd just buy 'em all--long as the wife wasn't around!! But if I had to pick just one, I'd pick the Golden Duke-no wait the Collector,nah I'd go for the big pipe......

You've come to the wrong place, steverino, if you're expecting one of us to tell you to buy only one.  Laughing

It's like asking a bunch of drunks in a bar to tell you when you've had enough.

It's Christmas, steverino. Gig wants a Big Pipe. TM wants the Collector. Oz would like the banded Gold Duke. I will take the Royalton. And ted would love to find a Redwood in his stocking.

Sorry, ole boy, looks like there's nothing left for you. But remember, Christmas tis the Season for Giving.

Steve....I don't want the Redwood, JUST DIRECTIONS......Is this the one on I-77 south at exit 50, or the one in Burlington??????? "You take the high road and I'll take the low road, and I'll be in Scotlan".......JR's a'fore ye'.......Naw, won't happen. I'm in FL.......Personally, if the Royalton has a lucite bit, that's my choice, otherwise the Golden.........That and 20 nickles will get you a cup of coffee.....ted
