Back from the honeymoon!Hey guys, I made it back from the honeymoon and survived the wedding experience just fine. I even took my new Grabow on the honeymoon and enjoyed a bowl of Half and Half on the balcony of the hotel overlooking the Teton mountain range. Here are some pictures of the wedding: http://disphotography-whatsnew.blogspot.com/2009/10/shari-wesley.html

Re: Back from the honeymoon!
CONGRATULATIONS! And thanks for the link to the photos -- as Barry has stated more than once, WE LOVE PHOTOS!
I'd post some of my wedding photos of 24 years ago on my Shutterfly site, but I don't know if I could stand the laughter . . . --RJ--

I got a laugh from that! I remember an old fellow used to speak of his wife as "his first wife" in conversation. That used to ellicit the usual response of, "Oh, I didn't know you had been divorced", or, "I didn't know you were married more than once", and he would grin and say, "I haven't -- she's still my first wife."
Another thing he would say is, "Yep, we've been married for 38 years. Those were the best two years of my life . . ."
I've been married for 24 years now. The first year was great and then we have been through some heck of rough seas, and NOW, believe it or not, after all this time, things are seemingly getting back to where we left off in that first year. I guess I am old school like my parents, but we have stuck with it through BETTER and WORSE and at this point, it finally seems like it was worth hanging on. We no doubt gave each other plenty of reasons for splitting up, but we never did. It's probably a good thing there is a law against (and punishment for) murder, though . . . --RJ--

26 years for Beth and me. I'm still amazed she's put up with this yankee for as long as she has.

Well, our marriage wasn't that one-sided. We had a lot of equal toleration going on. But I guess I DID live through that little episode of me spray painting her refrigerator black so that it would match the other appliances in our newly remodeled kitchen. As a matter of fact, just about EVERYTHING in the kitchen matched after that. There's just some things you shouldn't do while drinking beer, although I have heard being impulsive CAN be a good thing . . . --RJ--
Old, existing refrigerator . . . $0
A few cans of gloss black spray paint already in the garage . . . $ can't remember.
Wife's reaction when she got home . . . $ priceless.
Cleaning up overspray and buying NEW black refrigerator . . . $ very costly . . . (didn't really matter that I carefully laid newspapers around bottom of fridge)

Congrats again Wesley, might as well say it over here too. I do wish you both the best. Lord willing, we'll see 30 years of marriage next May and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I'll let you ask Bonnie for her side of it - I think she'll say the same thing.

Wait a minute RJ - I just bought some black spray paint to use on the oven (which is presently harvest gold) - are you saying I should hold off?

Congratulations, Wes, and welcome back. For what it's worth, my two rules for a successful marriage:
1. The wife is always right.
2. If the wife isn't right, refer to rule 1.
It's worked for me for 24 years, several moves, two children, and all the other the ups and downs.
