Dr Grabow Omega Pipe stem neededI just thought I would shoot this out here just in case someone might have a pipe stem for a Dr Grabow Omega pipe that they might want to get rid of.
Thanks

ooooooh, Another unexplained stem fracture?
I had an Omega stem fracture recently ... right at the metal collar. When I locked into the tenon and tried to extract the stub, the briar shank broke into two.
Everything went into the trash.

I do not. Sorry. Although they don't do repairs, Internation Pipes might be able to get sell you a new stem. They are common enough:

drbridges: next time a tenon breaks off in the shank use a small or brad with a small head and a pair of pliers. With the pliers hold the nail. Insert the nail into the shank headfirst, then hook it with the nailhead... has never failed for me...

I cannot imagine what I used in my failed attempt to extract the sticky stubborn stem stub; probably a cork screw. I do not possess the strength to pull ordinary briar shanks in two. I believe there was a pre-existing weakness in the pipe.

Mine was just missing the stem. Someone gave me a cigar box of old pipes and this Omega was in there but it doesn't have a stem.
