Gifted Commodore 81

Dave W gave me this Commodore in Sparta, and he also let me know that the stem was not correct. It was a bit small in diameter.  I sent it in and had Jaime put a new stem on it. Here it is.

Check out the nice ring grain pattern on the bottom!

Dave also often recommends running some rum through a pipe. So, I'm listening to him. Having some Sutliff Barbados Plantation Rum in the Commodore as we speak.   Laughing

Very pretty grain
Kentuck

Thats a very pretty gravy ladle Joe. That grain is magnificent.
JoeMan

Gravy would be honored for this pipe to be dipped in it.

Joe - We've got to remember that that was a disgusting old piece of pipe that Carl Purdy found somewhere and cleaned up originally and than gave to me. His work in restoring the grain in that pipe is simply superb. With Carl's permission I passed it on to you for your Commodore collection since it was shape stamped. Getting the factory to restem it was a great call. So thanks to Carl for initiating this excellent restoration ... Dave
JoeMan

I knew he passed it, but didn't know the story on the restore.  Thanks to Carl as well!

I've just added the junktique apple as well, so I'll show the updated Commodore family tomorrow.  Smile  Bandless shape 83 Commodore next, once I find one!

JoeMan

I clench on both...keep it moving after every couple puffs.

Right left and middle. I constantly shift too. I guess I slightly favor the right side.
