GLP Maltese Falcon Review

The presentation in the can is typical Pease - long delicate strings of tobacco with the odd occaisonal twig. MF was predominantly dark, with slight ribbons of light tobacco through it.

After being overwhelmed with my first light-up of Samarra, I now know to open the can and let it air for 1/2 hour or so. Once I did that, it lit easily and smoked like a dream. I smoked it in a Dunhill 2nd, straight billiard, with a 7/8" bowl.

It presents as an English at first, with Latakia present but not overwhelming. Mid bowl is where it is at its most complex, with no one flavour dominating. At the end is where I noticed the Orientals most, and it had that powdery, barely sweet Oriental taste I love.

I tried it later in a smaller bowl Dr Grabow Canadian, and in the smaller bowl the Latakia was more pronounced, with the Oriental finish at the end, with less sweetness.

Highly recomended. 4/5, since I want to have room to improve it later when I have more of a background to base it on.
