Mike Leverette

Good Morning from Mike

Name: Robert M. Leverette – Mike for short

Birth: 9 February 1939 in Thomas County Georgia

Status: Married to a genuine Southern belle and a true Georgia peach

Children: All grown and gone! 2 sons and 3 stepdaughters but I love them as my own. 6 grandchildren – 2 boys and 4girls

Location: Bolingbroke, GA – about 14 miles north of Macon

Occupation: Retired architect but still doing projects on the side for architects too busy to do them in office.

Smoking: Started smoking pipe in 1958 during my fun and games with the Marines. My first pipe was a Falcon lost in and now dust and aluminum oxide in Lebanon, the 1958 Peace Keeping Mission – HA!

Tobaccos: Peterson Old Dublin, Dunhill’s 965 and any other English blend (Latakia fanatic). Some burleys, Virginias and my only aromatic is Peterson Sunset Breeze.

Hobbies: Smoking and collecting pipes, firearms, antique firearms and my grandchildren. I am also a history fanatic, mainly pre-1700 with emphasis on pre-Columbian North American explorers. Researching pre-1492 smoking pipes in both the Old World and New. Archaeology and Biblical Archaeology. I have written a “rule of thumb” dating guide for Peterson pipes and a short History of Weingott pipes. I am now in the process of expanding my Peterson guide.  And oh yes, “honey-do” work.
