GREAT STORY....I'd love to meet "SQUATCH". Part of my army MP duty was as a prison guard......I wanted out as badly as the prisoners. | ||

"Some of you know I work in a federal prison. As of late we have been having problems with the hispanic gangs jockeying for dominance. As a result we have been having outbreaks of violence as they go after each other for "turf". Was called into work a few weeks ago, something that is never too good. We got the word that a couple of these gangs were going to possibly square off, so they wanted extra officers on hand to deal with it should something occur. Sure enough they started fighting on the rec yard and we went in and broke it up. One of the inmates I detained turned and punched me in the chest, square in my left shirt pocket. I'm a big guy and to tell you the truth I didn't notice the punch much at the time. The inmates involved were soon herded up and interviewed and placed in lockdown. We medically screen inmates involved in fight to do injury assessments. One of the inmates was found to have fractured his middle finger right above the first knuckle. When interviewed the inmate said he got his finger broke when he punched "Sasquatch" in the chest. The inmates nickname for me is "Sasquatch", so the supervisor found me while I was typing my after action report. I told him an inmate punched me in the chest but I didn't notice it much. He said since I was involved in an assault he wanted me to go to medical for a checkout in case they want to prosecute the inmate. I got to medical and there wasn't a mark on me. The nurse on duty then asked me what I had in my shirt pocket. "Just a pipe," I replied pulling out a Dr Grabow Eldorado Bulldog. "He must have hit your pipe, and broke his finger." The nurse laughed and duly wrote it in the report. The pipe is fine. As a matter of fact I filled it and stepped outside to smoke it. Nothing like a well made pipe." Maybe Turnkey will forgive me for stepping on his toes! |
