How to Include Images to your PostsBest I can tell, you'll need an account for free online image hosting such as mine at: http://photobucket.com
Set up your account... Its easy.
Upload your pic or pics. Again, easy.
Under the pic, click in the Img Code Box.
The URL will automatically be copied to your clipboard.
Paste the URL into your Post!
Done.

Images seem to come and go around here. At least for me.
I posted 3 images in the Good Pipes topic. Checked today and only 1 was displayed. Reloaded the page and the other 2 displayed, and the one that was displayed before now wasn't.
Not complainin' ... just observin' ...

Most observant grasshoppa~ Ive noticed the same thing, especicially the one of Dr. G!
I guess we get what we pay for hereya. But seriously I'll compare performance: photobucket vs. your server...
I've noticed the same with the "URL" tag. We'll deal!

I've observed the same disappearing photo links on another similar board where I post.
Maybe it is the site storing the image file, but all 3 of mine are stored at the same site. Wouldn't all of them display, or not?

I've kept my eye on the cup post http://drgrabows.myfreeforum.org/about13.html and its been there consistently. It is hosted by Photobucket. Maybe its your server?!?!

Yeah, your images display. Mine reduce to an icon for me after about a day. The link still works because I can open the image in a new window or tab. But it won't display automatically.
Pbase.com has been good to me over many years. I might stop posting images before quitting an old associate.

For anyone having difficulty direct linking to online image files:
It may help if you don't have your files restricted with passwords and other access limitations.

Thought it was. Don't think so now.
Moved some photos to another host site. They disappear too.
Somewhere in the cobweb recesses of my memory I'm recalling this happened before, and it has to do with the resolution of the image files. Images posted for web viewing having to be 72-75 dpi.

Trial and error (and some head scratching) has proved that the best way to include images to your posts is by celecting the "attach image" option. This will include your image in your post as well as in our gallery.
Its recommended you take a moment to include a brief description of the image, for the gallery!
And, its FREE!!
