I'm not cheap, I'm frugalIn typical "bottom feeder" fashion, I picked up (trah picked) the following secratary desk, added some new hardware and used it to organize my ever growing enteprise of collecting Grabows! Heck, I don't know what DRB has, but I know for a fact MAc has an entire room!
Then... this Barrister's Bookcase presented itself in the same neighbor hood. Trash day has been good to me. Its in perfect shape, just needed a cleaning. It now houses aforementioned Grabow cr@p, my pipe literature, pipe books, pipes, tub tobacco, etc... With room to spare!
I have always wanted a bookcase like this one! It has replaced the above secratary's desk. I've been promoted from secretary to barrister!

I use those plastic drawer sets they sell everywhere. Pipes are segregated into labeled drawers. 1 drawer for Westbrooks; 1 drawer for Linkman's; 1 drawer for Ajustos; 1 drawer for tampon takers; 1 drawer for push stems; 1 drawer for non-garbos; 1 drawer for metals & cobs; 1 drawer for papers, charts, and catalogs; 1 drawer is the pipe retirement home.
They will be easily evacuated in case of calamity.

I'm not shy, I've been working on my "cellar" and still have a ways to go, but here it is, such as it is. I'm still trying to decide which pipes go in thedisplay and get them cleaned up. The area underneath the pipes will eventually have a 25 gallon aquarium and mirrored walls.

Oh and I thought I'd add a shot of my humidor as well, I still smoke quite a few cigars, but I find myself reaching for my pipes more and more.

WOW! Love the rack. Great collection of briars ya got there...
nice set up. especially the humiodor, the rack, Way to go TH.
Since your not locked in yet to the setup.... it seems storing the pipes over the Awuarium could be a recipe for diaster... If they fall, at least they'l float but even if they don't I would think that the spot above the tank would be a little bit too humid for the pipes to dry. Regardless that is a great space.
LokoMac has a great space. Havent seen the others. My pic above is actually and obvioulsy the bedroom. I'll send pics of the actually "cave" once I do some cleaning.
Who's up next?
(oh, and once ted cleans his workbench, Im sure he'll do the same )

Thanks for the compliments and thoughts. Sir. While pipes falling in the tank would be highly unlikely, the tank having a full hood and light covering the top, and being "tucked under" the shelf the pipes are on about 12 to 18 inches. (tho I have seen stranger things happen )
However, I had not even thought about the humidity....I'm going to have to give that some thought. If I go ahead with the idea ( which I might just to see it all set up one time), I will now stick my hygrometer in with the pipes and check it for a few days. Thanks for the heads up.
