Shocked Hey TROY!  Wink

Top 2 are Berwyck, bottom 2 are Goldens.  The smooth Golden is shape stamped!

A resurrected Viscount, not Color Viscount, in yellow:

Dave, mostly for newer guys...just clarifying your comment - 'not Color Viscount'.  I assume that you meant to say 'not Color Duke', since the only 2 painted Grabows were Color Duke and some Viscount (which I know a lot of guys have unofficially referred to as 'color Viscount').

Joe - Point noted but RJ's Grabow pages list a 'Color Viscount' circa 1975 that used lower grades of briar then the Viscounts circa 1950s and on ... Dave

Ah, very good point.  I do believe that those referred to by RJ are one in the same as Viscounts which are painted.

Hard to read nomenclature .... is it stamped  'Color Viscount' or just 'Viscount'?

Should I clarify the entry for Color Viscount in the timeline by listing Viscount - color/painted.?

Just Viscount over Dr. Grabow

I have 4 other Viscounts painted that are all stamped Viscount over Dr. Grabow and not stamped color.

I also have an Olympics Viscount that is stamped Dr. Grabow and not Viscount.

Wouldn't have that card and half of those pipes if not for Sean. He found it somewhere--I forget-- and offered it to me. Three-maybe four of those pipes are unsmoked.

After all this time, I finally acquired a shape stamped, wire carved, Starfire 85 in very good condition. All I did was clean it up a little. I figured I'd bump this thread with it.

She smokes as good as any.

I snagged this Viscount shape stamped 85 for $8 and change when apparently no one was watching it on eBay a couple of weeks ago:

Very nice pipe, I may have to find myself one soon. G'Day Gents

Sweet find Dave. I gave a little more for mine, but not much, with free shipping.
