Lets see your Grabow and Linkman's with propellers

Lets see your Grabow and Linkman's with propellers

I'll go first:
Linkman's Dr.Grabow with shield and prop.  These each have the Type 3 stinger, dating them to the period 1938 - ~1942 according to RJM's history.

I enjoy seeing the variation in the propeller as well as early handmade spades, showcases the human element. †Loosely quoting Ed James - it appears they were certain days that they must have used a hatchet to make the trademark. Notice on the chunky apple that the propeller isn't even close to the center top of the stem. †The stem is not over-rotated, and the stinger is also straight.

Dr,Grabow Tru-Grain Stubby Billiard Linkmanís shape 01A
White propeller on top of stem.  Push tenon.  Ed James and Oldredbeard (DRGBCF) both have an identical pipe and report a plastic stinger. Probably WWII.  Rusticated carved.  Tru-Grain line started in 1945.  Propeller stopped abt. 1944 so this pipe is from very early 1945 best estimate.

Linkman's Dr.Grabow stamped on side of shank.
MLC encircled in oval and Italian Briar and 13 stamped on other side.
PAT APP'D FOR stamped on bottom.
Black propeller on top of stem with Type 1 stinger which RJM's history shows as 1932 - 1933.
Pat. No. 1896800, the patent protecting the stinger apparatus , was applied for 4/13/1932 and granted 2/7/1933 so this pipe would have been made to be sold no earlier than 4/13/1932 and no later than 2/7/1933.  Pipes made after the patent grant date would have been stamped with the patent number.
Shape #13 shows in Linkman's 1937 shape chart catalog.
Bowl is comparable to modern Grabow shape 70, senior sized Dublin, with a very thick shank to accommodate the Type 1 stinger apparatus.

Yes,it has the 1896800 patent no.
Spadefan

9402 Supreme, yellow band, wooden stinger
Stamped Dr.Grabow Supreme, 9402, Pre-Smoked, REG US PAT OFF.
Wooden stinger is Type 4 from RJM's history and dates this pipe to ~1942-1944, maybe 1945.  Since it has a propeller and not a spade on top of the stem we know that it was not made in 1945.  So made '42-44.
SATXpipe

Here's two of mine I'm currently restoring. Both of these are not listed in the 1937 Linkman's shape guide pdf so I'm not sure of the years. A 4330 Special and a 9770 DeLuxe with triangular taper stem.
