Lets see your Grabow Riviera's

The Dr.Grabow Riviera line was started in 1956 or 1957 and continues today.

Here's some of the Rivieras I have had over the past years, including - in the last photo - a whole rack of them that eventually got restored and sold.

My only Riviera.  This is surely Lane-era, it's a leftover Hillcrest shape which was sandblasted and stamped as a Riviera.

The shank had been shortened by a previous owner due to a crack, so the stem face did not match up size-wise to the shank face...so this was my first attempt at a stem-extension to make it marry-up better.

I only have one Rivera and it's a push stem, huge apple shape. It is one of my beater pipes but a fine smoker.

My sole Riviera:

ozark southpaw

Spadefan

Nice ones Gents

I know Savoys, Larks, Dukes, and Rivieras dont get much respect but I have found them to be made of high quality briar and are good smokers.

Here is one Joe sent me a few months ago. It cleaned up easily and smokes very well. I stripped the finish off, but thankfully the stain stayed the same color. I'm pretty sure it's a 49, but it quickly became a favorite.

I think that's the least shiny pipe I've ever seen you claim.
