I'll go first:
Linkman's Ambrol
Stamped Linkman's over Ambrol on left side of shank. Stamped Italian Briar on right side.

I dont know how to date this one.  Cleaner screws directly into wooden threads in mortise would date this to early 1930's.  However, spade on top of stem pointing at smoker would date it to after ~1944 and before mid 1950's when the spade moved to the side of the stem.  Any thoughts?

This is a crummy pic of my Holly Court.

And this Fifty Grand.

Nice ones
Especially that Fifty Grand

Is that a red spade or a red propeller?
Oldredbeard

It is a red Spade, and the Holly Court is a metal ring.

I just noticed the outline spade on the side of the stem with the spade pointing at the smoker.  Very cool.  Spades on the side of the stem are almost always pointing up.
JoeMan

I've got  2 or 3 to throw at this thread this evening.  In the meantime...

Wait a minute...are you sure that's not a Dunhill?   Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  Really nice...I think I'd rather have that Columbian than a Dunny!

REALLY nice pipes, guys.  Tim...that bent 50g.  Ed and Gerald...

I forgot about this 50 Grand. It also has the embossed spade on side of stem pointing at smoker.

JoeMan

...with a cracked shank!  Just send that junker to me Ed...beats you throwing it in the trash.  Wink

You wouldn't want it now, the crack has been repaired! Laughing
JoeMan

Curious...was there enough thickness to bond it, or did you add a band?
ozark southpaw

Glued it and took a tiny bit of the tenon.

Yes its a cool pipe but a mystery.  Its stamped 1180.  Never heard of a model or line number 11.  Never seen this shape called 80 on a shape chart.  Dont recall seeing another Sinbad model or line.

The shape is the same as a shape 78, which appears on the Grabow adverts of the mid 40's.

Anyone have a Sinbad in another shape?
Anyone have Linkman model or line stamped 11?
Anyone have a shape chart showing this shape as a #80?

Not I.

I have heard of the Sinbad before, seems like DRB or RJ may have one.

Nope.

Edit found this, seems DRB has a Sinbad in the same shape you have Gerald--  http://drgrabows.myfreeforum.org/viewtopic.php?t=19&start=0

Thanks, a NUVO SINBAD no less.  Another one for the Linkman model list.
