Middleton vs Pinkerton

I Like middletons cherry blend and prince albert, but i find that they get a bit bitey toward the bottom of the can. I like half and half and velvet a little more. Anyone have any thoughts on Middleton vs Pinkerton?

Velvet is a little sweeter than pa and ch

Pa is the strongest and ch is just a real good smoke

Tubs are best sometimes the pouches have been on the shelf so long they are dried out and lose flavor

This is especially true of Pinkerton's

re Middleton vs Pinkerton

I've found that Cans are better than pouches . If you have the money, and if you like it well enough to smoke an entire can before it dries out.

Mundy, about how long do you find that it takes a tin to get too dry?  I haven't tried a tin yet and am thinking about getting a tin of PA.
Sir Duke

If you guys are actually talking about the Tubs (Because I dont know that PA still comes in a tin), then... you could always break down the tub and cellar it in jars. Salsa jars work fine, Mason jars even better.

Some guys just don't like to commit that kind of space to whereever they cellar their baccar to sopmething on the low-end of the spectrum.

I am not one of those guys! If you like it, all the better that it costs less. It aint cheap, just inexpensive(r)...  Wink

I have middleton tubs (PA,CH) that have been sitting in the plastic tubs for over a year and they are still moist

An unopened tub should last a lot longer

I will have to give Velvet another go around.

Never tried Velvet and I only tried CH and PA once but the later were good Smile
Dave

Velvet is a little sweeter
It is a good smoke it burns to the bottom of the bowl with one lite
A little darker than PA with a lite fruity smell close to the same cut

I have gotton pouches that were a little dry but my tubs are just right

I really haven't had a tub dry out.  I think it takes me, probably, six months, say, to go through a tub of PA or CH because I smoke a lot of different stuff and only smoke, on average, about three or four bowls a day.  It helps also, I think to keep the round cardboard disk in the tub to rest on top of the tobacco and reduce the air space a bit.  Odd thing, some tubs I have bought have the disks and some don't, even the same brand!  If it doesn't have a disk, I make one.  Some aromatics do better when they dry out a bit anyway.  --RJ--
