More Omega's on the way!I have just ordered four, that's right, four new DG Omega pipes. Two smooth and two carved. That will bring me to a 12 pipe rotation of Omega's. I absolutely love those pipes. If anyone is interested, Rick, of the WV smoke shop, carries the best selection of what you see, is what you get DG's on the net. I have done business with him several times, great guy, great service, and very reasonable prices. If your interested, here is the link: http://wvsmokeshop.com

Hi fellas it's been a while,
I own Petersons and Omegas and they all smoke great. I own 2 Omegas, a bown satin smooth and a red gloss smooth I suppose you would call it and I am after a rusticated Omega to complete my trio. After I bend there stems to suit me, I then seem to smoke these pipes alot in my rotation I am so fond of them

I quess with all the fuss about Omegas I'm gonna have to get at least one. I had one couple of years back. It was the only bad smoking Grabow I've ever owned! The drilling on this pipe was WAY off and the bowl in the area of the airway was burnt out-had a huge airway!! Always left a lot of unburnable tobacco in the bottom. Plus I was never to crazy about the shape of the Omegas.

OS, I just checked out driving time and got about 10 hours. I know from several trips that it's a looooong way across Tennessee. There will be a couple of suggestions about the directions that'll probably save 1/2 hour if you drive.
Make you the same offer we made for Mac....If you can get here you'll have a place to stay, and I'll pick you up (or have you picked up) wherever you land. As far as I know now, Mac arrives in Charlotte at noon on the 7th. We'll have to hustle to get to Sparta for the 2:00 tour, but will make it. If you fly in, come to Charlotte, prior to noon on the 7th, and I'll just get the both of you.
I'm at your disposal......ted

Ted,thanks for the generous offer!! If I were to come I would drive down. If I can talk the wife into taking off from work and can scratch up a few extra bucks I would really enjoy the visit!! Can't come alone as we have only one vehicle at present.

Yikes! The buying of pipes never ends
"Don't forget the Grabow Alphas, and all those pipes Grabow made for Mastercraft.....ted"
I'm still curious about the Grabow Alphas. How does one know that a Grabow is an Alpha?

The simplest way to tell the difference between an Israeli Alpha and a Grabow Alpha: the Israeli pipes will have 'Israel' somewhere on the shank, usually near the end on the bottom, and Grabows are marked 'Imported Briar.' Lane-era Alphas will also be marked with a Greek letter spelled out, ie: Epsilon, Gamma, Beta, etc. They used 5 different letters, but I can only remember three. I'll look the other two up in my publications and post them, too.
