SatisfactionI just finished mowing my yard after almost two weeks of nearly continuous wet weather. Well, mowing might be a little too strong. I was more concerned with knocking the grass down to a managable height so I can do a proper job in a day or two. What's a roll of hay go for these days? I could probably have gotten two or three good rolls off my 2 little acres. I did take a certain amount of comfort, though, from the bowl of Country Doctor I smoked in one of my Dr G. Big Pipes while mowing. It wasn't always lit - it's hard to take one hand off the steering levers of a zero-turn mower to light your pipe- and there was an inevitable amount of 'drool' that ended up going down the stem. That's one of the things I like about the Dr Grabow filter pipes: the filter soaks up that 'drool' and the pipe doesn't gurgle and the bottom of the bowl stays fairly dry. Just thought I'd share that with you guys, for what it's worth.

Sounds like a nice way to enjoy a smoke! I smoked my Viking w/a tall bowl while mowing my yark this weekend. Unfortunatly I found my lost Silver Duke Dublin with my little push mower while going around trees. Only nicked the top of the bowl but lobbed 1" off the stem. I'll rework it to have a one of a kind Lovat!

Duke,you mean that pipe has been laying out there under a tree all this time and you haven't missed it??!! Shame on ya!!

It was accually missing for 2 week's. Set it on the wheelbarrel arms by the tire while burning yard debris.Wife distracted me with something else. The next day my little Brother came over to get his bike outta winter storage(my shop)and I thought he kiped it. I was pissed but figured I'd let it slide....Glad I did'nt accuse him! She's resting comfertably now and should be smoking again shortly!

Terry, that's a great picture you painted. I usually smoke while mowing as well, but it's a push mower so I can stop and light whenever needed. Even with the walking, it's quite relaxing to me.
