Sir Duke,about your dog!

We used to have a dog that could be a twin to yours! She ran off when we moved! Think she missed the farm and tried to go home. Never found her. Had her and her brother. got them from my sister, they are Sharpei and boxer mix.

Sir Duke

awesome pups OS!

Yes, my dogs a Boxer mix (w/rhodesian ridge back?)

I see the Sharpei in yours. Awesome pue. Too bad she never got back.

I swore to my wife that if I had a dog I'd never be depressed again. For the most part its true. I call her my therapy dog. She's so awesome. TEd knows how I feel about the pup.

Thanks for sharing!
BTW, DID I miss a paypal payment? Let me know. I forgot about the pipes and dont check paypal. I thought they would notify me.

Either way...

No man can be depressed in the presence of a boxer.

Not long before that pic. she got bumped by a car. If you look close you can see that she is carrying her left front leg kinda funny. It was paralyzed and had no feeling. it would drag and stayed raw and bloody, she would not leave a bandage on it so finally had it removed at the shoulder. Could not tell she even missed it,still chased the squirrells and rabbits! Once we caught her standing on the kitchen counter eating the roast we had for supper!  SD, you didn't miss a Paypal payment,I forgot to send it!!

We had a Boykin Spaniel that was 13 and had altzheimers. She would get in a corner and not know how to get out. ..Beg to go outside and forget why she wanted out...Stand over her food bowl, and not try to eat..

We bought a black Lab puppy to keep her company and it really worked welll. She would follow the puppy everywhere.

5 years ago, on labor day, (the puppy was about a year old) I let them out and both took off after something. I watched them go around the barn toward the road. Immediately got in the truck and drove to where they should be...
No dogs!...Haven't seen them since.

Had the UPS man and a friend that walks daily along the road  look for dogs or bodies....nothing.....

The pup was so friendly he would hop into anyone's vehicle, and the old dog would follow. Hope someone gave them a good home.

We've talked about it, but haven't had a dog since.

Since Babe ran off we have not had a dog. Wife doesn't want one messing up her new house!! My sister got a male boxer from a friend who could not keep it for some reason. She was going to give me the dog but the wife would not let me have, even though I whined and cried for a week!!

I once had an Australian Blue Heeler named Stonewall Jackson, who had an uncanny knack for flushing skunks, avoiding their spray, and, at the same time, staying out of my line of fire while I shot them with my .22.  I came home one day and found him lying just in the roadway, dead.  The children, fortunately, weren't home from school yet.  I buried him under "his" Black Walnut in our front yard, where he used to like to lie in the shade and survey his domain.

We had a dachshund named "Tinkerbell".  She was our first dachshund.  We got her for free from a family who lived next to another family that had chickens.  Tink liked to catch chickens.  She was 2-1/2 when we got her and 10 when she died.  We buried her in the spot where she always layed in the sun.  I didn't particularly want to get another dog, but my son bought his mama another dachshund a couple of Christmases later.  Now we have "Lucy" and she is a great dog.  We've really come to love dachshunds.
