Yep, Spartacraft is a whole nother' chapter in Sparta's evolution.

We created Spartacraft at UST's insistence and our first job was several hundred 4 foot tall store displays for Nestley. Spartacraft grew from that into a specialty wood working shop.

If you've ever bought anything from Franklin Mint or Danbury Mint.. the wooden parts were ours. We made the triangular flag boxed, liquor displays, and many many other items.  It had over 60 employees at one time.

We incorporated Mastercraft, Grabow, and Spartacraft under the corporate name "Sparta Industries". I was president of the corporation when I retired.

Spartacraft was sold to WM in 1993 or 94.

I think there is an 'epistle' somewhere that I wrote about Spartacraft.

It, in a way, caused the decline in Grabow, and the total loss of the Mastercraft brand.  ted

Always interesting to learn more about the history.  When did Spartacraft move from Sparta to Connelly Springs?
