Tobacco TouchstonesI thought I would post this link for anyone who may not already be familiar with it. It is a good little reference showing examples of the various pipe tobacco families. It is certainly not all-inclusive, and isn't meant to be - just examples of typical blends in those families.

Also note that this web page is just a part of a larger web site called "Tobacco Aging, Storage and Cellaring FAQ". It should prove interesting to explore. Just click on "home".

Very interesting. I'm not sure I would have considered Frog Morton to be a 'flavored' blend. A good resource to give to new pipe smokers looking to try and find what kind of tobacco they like.

Yeah, and I've never thought of Squadron Leader as an oriental, either. I just thought it was a plain, light English (same with the Frog). If I ever get the chance to talk to Mike and Mary McNeil, I'm going to ask them what Frog is flavored with and see what they say.
