Two Emperors

Well, I 've ended up with two Emporers now, a 47 I think and a 65.  The 65 has broken my personal record for pipe received with most cake.  I'll add a picture of the cake here in a few minutes.

Okay, here we go:

Here's the stamp:

Here's the cake:

And with flash:

Here's a grain shot:

And another:

And the rim - this one's really been worked over:

If I get this one cleaned up, I'll post the "after" pix.

Need some work on that well used old pipe Smile

Looks worse than it is. It will clean up. The rim bevel from knocking it out on his heel won't.

How the heck does someone smoke a pipe like that??!! Must have lungs like Superman!! You could top the bowl but it looks like it would shorten it 3/16--!/4"! When I see a pipe thats been beat like that it makes me want to take a big stick to who ever did it!! Especially something as rare as an Emporer!!

Yeah, me too, OS.  I'm actually thinking about doing a bevel all the way around.  It wouldn't look authentic, but it might make a nice look of its own.  Something similar to a Peterson B10 shape, but the bevel wouldn't be as wide.

At least with a bevel you wouldn't have to shorten the bowl.Topping it would throw the proportions all out of whack in that shape.

And a bevel would actually look nice on that pipe. Just don't round it over. I did that to an omega, and it just doesn't look right.

A bevel and a couple of beads and you'd have a Zulu Dog!
