WTT Edward G Robinson

I just bought this and there's no way I'll ever smoke all of it.  Anyone interested in some?

Sure!  I'm game.  What's the "WTT" syand for?  --RJ--

I think it's "want to trade", RJ.  I don't know what Gilly might like in trade but I'd take a sample myself.  P&T had a real nice article about Edward G. and his smoking habits and it made me want to try his blend, but I don't ever see it anywhere.

Well, that makes sense now.  I learn something every day.  Just discovered some more Mixture No. 79, thoroughly dried out, that I can spare.  --RJ--

I'm on this quest to find an aromatic I like.  So far my favorite has been Three Star Blue and SWR aromatic.  I really had high hopes for Edward G but I got a pretty nice tongue bite off it.  Maybe you more experienced smokers will enjoy it more than me.

I'm so inexperienced I don't know what to ask for in a trade.  I do like my burleys.

That Mix 79 would be an even trade. I tried that Edwarg G a few years back, didn't much care for it.

Gilly - Autumn Evening by Cornell and Diehl is one of the best aromatics out there, in my opinion.  C&D makes a slew of aromatics but AE is the only one I've tried.  J.M. Boswell also makes some highly touted stuff, I've tried their Christmas Cookie blend and it is quite good.  McClelland also makes quite a few aromatics, Grey Havens and Tastemaster are two I have tried and are pretty good.  I could send you a few samples of some things if you want to PM me your address.

After SEVERAL more bowl fulls, I agree with you -- it has a definite tendency to bit the tongue for at least the first half bowl.  By the time it gets to the bottom of the bowl it provides for an interesting smoke.  Don't know what's in it that causes the bite.  It's a little different bite than I get from other tobaccos, but it is there, to be sure.  --RJ--
