Nice group! The 84L kinda sticks out! They look good against that Ford blue!

Real nice Ted. It kind of makes me realize how puny my own collection is! I'm trying to remedy that though, as fast as I can. That 84L really shines and stands out in the picture, but I like them all. I've got Grabowitis or PAD, whatever you call it in a big way.

Great looking group of pipes.  I wonder if the 86 was a shape that either didn't sell much or if it came out late in the game and wasn't around as long as some of the others.  I have never seen an 86 in the three lines I collect most - the red Eldorados, the Commodores and the Regals.

Steve, The #86 was shown in the Westbrook order sheet. So we had to have a few Westbrook #86 in inventory. #86 and the #80 stummels were the same. Stem was the difference.
#80 used a 14 1/4 75SBD... Saddle Bull Dog
#86 used a 14 1/4 75TBD. Tapered Bull Dog.

I got out of the Army in 1971 after a LOA and was responsible for the stems (and other stuff).  Best I recall there were a few hundred (German) TBD stems that could be used, but were saved for our Westbrook #86.

I do not remember ANY #86 (other than Westbrook) put into production after 1971... Even though I have a Starfire #86?? Stamped 80..

Maybe Lane used up the TBD stems into an 86, but they would be few and far between. Hopefully one will be available into your collection. "Hens teeth" wouldn't cover it.......... tom
