Now I see that it's not really being sold by Sears, but by tobaccopipes.com, but this still seems odd. Not complaining, but odd.

The Sears here sells only tools, lawn equip. and appliances. Nothing like the big Sears stores in the malls we used to shop at in northern Il.

I worked for them about ten years ago for a short while. It was just as the financial issues were starting. They were cutting back on all the customer service and focusing on credit. They wanted the Sears card to be the next major credit card like Visa/MC. Even then I was seeing that they were trending toward losing the B&M and going toward internet. They didn't care about the sales as much as they did "pushing credit". It was getting sickening for me since I am driven by providing customer service. When they came together with Kmart, I thought it was the beginning of the end for them. I'm not feeling too confident about their internet presence unless they can remember that customer service is the key to any success. Just my .02.  Very Happy

Mastercraft sold to Sears, JCP, Monkey Ward, Aldens, and Spiegel.

Used to sell a Turkish Water Pipe in each Christmas catalogue.. plus other stuff.. That ended in about 1976. TWP did us in....

No idea who this SEARS is. Must be his last name...td

I recall running across them once or twice but there was a pipe made for Sears & Roebuck that carried a brand name they used. I can't remember who made it but will keep looking.

As I recall Sears was first and foremost a credit card company with their own store so to speak. They were one of the first to push credit on a national scale. Anyone remember the old long white Sears card with gold lettering? I got engaged to my wife at 19 and Sears was the only place I could get credit... and they only gave me $150! My wifes engament ring cost $119! She still wears it right beside her JCPenney wedding band we picked out together!

We have a pot to piss in now, but still waiting on a window to throw it out of!
