Well,as much as I like the Berwycks I don't think I would go that much for one. That is a decent pipe, but looks like it need s refinishing to me!!

I have seen ads for them in old magazines -- that's about it. --RJ-- |

I have enough author pipes, but I also had been watching that one and even considered bidding on it -- but not for very long. I watched at first out of general interest, then out of curiosity, then out of amazement and finally just out of shock. Not shock at the price so much as shock from the realization that there are some folks out there nuttier than I am! --RJ-- |

| Believe it or not, I would probably be hitting the buy it now button if these were banded pipes. I like those much better than the non-banded. It is interesting to note that at least one of the pipes has a $15.95 price sticker on it, so if we could determine when the Eldorado went up to $15.95, we could get a pretty good handle on the age. I'm guessing these might have been some of the last Eldorados made. Whatchall think? |

I peg the $15.95 price of the Eldorado to be circa-1988. Circa 1992 they were priced at $17.95, and I forget, but may have even been reduced to push stem pipes by then.
I had NOT seen this listing, nor the seller's other auctions. Of course, I usually "overlook" multiple pipe auctions on purpose, lest I get a bunch of extra pipes and have to box'em up and send them to Ed and TED!
I wish the seller would have noted if they were shape-number stamped. I am always looking for new numbered stamped shapes I don't have. Too laborious and time consuming to keep asking sellers if they have numbers stamped on them, so I often don't bother to ask. --RJ-- |

I think that's the one that flew off the dash of my truck about 22 years ago. Guess it's been sitting on the side of the road since then.
