Besides the old Linkman's O2A Churchwarden, that particular pipe is my pride and joy. I can't bring myself to fill either of them and take a match to them. Well I have a few I won't bring a match to. Got plenty of others that have already been put to use.

Brian, the only factory tour which happened in 2012 for any DGCF members (to my knowledge) was when I went up to visit Ted and then they took my wife and I through the entire operation.  We tried to get momentum for another tour for a bunch of us later in the summer, but schedules and such did not work out. Would love to do one this spring or summer...maybe ask if they'd do a DGCF 2013 stamp.  Smile

In case you did not find it, here is the thread from the video / picture compilation my son and I put together after the tour.  These folks are beauties, letting me get this close to the action.  Enjoy.

That DGCF stamping makes that Royalton worth a bunch of money--right?  After all,how many pipes have that stamp, maybe a dozen or so?

I haven't smoked the one I had stamped either.

Might be a dozen of them floating around. pretty exclusive club I guess.
wouldn't say a whole bunch of money, but to me it is priceless Ed. 50 or so years from now when I kick the bucket some family member of mine will find it and toss it or do some other unthinkable act to it.

I had my Hillcrest 81 and an Alpha Flying Saucer unstamped one stamped with the DGCF 2010 stamps and smoke 'em both ... I figured out any added value from the stamping would be erased by the inability of anyone looking at it 20 years down the road to determine what it meant! Just glad to have visited the factory and pick up a couple of pipes that bring back good memories of the trip when I smoke 'em. Dave

Yeah, I really wanted to go on that. Then some smelly brown stuff hit the spinning, cooling apparatus...

The 81 is a thing of the past-unfortunately.
