They say you learn something new every day and by golly they're right.

I wasn't aware that pipe tobacco had nicotine in it.  Rolling Eyes  I dip Stoker's "Straight", Copenhagen "Southern Blend", and dip/swallow W.E. Garrett "Sweet Snuff".

I'm gonna start paying attention to see if I get an unpleasant buzz from PA.

If your looking to avoid vitamin N, Royal Yacth would be one to avoid. Captain Black is a pretty good light blend as are most drug store types, like PA, SWR, 1/2&1/2, CH. These being mostly burley based.

The strongest tobacco ive smoked to date is Daughters and Ryan Picayne . If you can smoke a a full medium bowl of that by itself than you are dong good .

That stuff will make your hair stand up on end .

Its even stronger than the twist ive smoked , including Mammoth Cave .

I like strong tobacco and nicotine don't seem to phase me much as long as I stay active. When I sit and read or watch TV for a long time while smoking multiple bowls of a strong blend I get a little swimmy headed sometimes when I get up. Aromatics taste good sometimes but they generally don't satisfy my nicotine urge. On that weak basis I would recommend aromatics on the whole for someone with a low nicotine tolerance.

Peterson "Irish Flake" and "Bow-Legged Bear" (C&D) have too much nicotine for me.  Low nicotine blends that I like are:

A & C Petersen Escudo
C&D Bayou Morning Flake
Dunhill Flake
Dunhill De Luxe Navy Rolls
Esoterica Tobacciana Dunbar
Mac Baren Plumcake
Mac Baren Navy Flake
Mac Baren Mixture
Rattray's Dark Fragrant
Rattray's Hal O' the Wynd
Rattray's Marlin Flake
Rattray's Old Gowrie
RLP 6

Just a comment on Irish Flake - and most may already know this - Peterson switched manufacturers from Kohlhase and Kopp to Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG).  I don't like the new version as well but I'm getting used to it.  There is more of a topping on the new version and you can readily smell it when you open the tin.  There is also less dark-fired taste.  And to me, less nicotine (which would make sense if they lessened the dark-fired content).  So you may want to try this one again if it was too strong before.
