Steve, can't miss me. Just look for the red suspenders, glasses, and moustache. If I'm outside, I'll be wearing my panama hat.

| Thanks Terry, sounds good. I don't know what I'll be wearing - I'll be the guy who looks like he's lost. |

| Sparta is a small town. Just ask anyone to point out the other new stranger to you. You will find one another. |

I just got home from the most amazing day I've had in a long time. Just getting to meet Tom, Mac and Steve was wonderful, but watching Dr Grabow pipes being made was absolutely the icing on the cake. I'm going to have to let things percolate a couple of days before I can post any coherent description of today's events. I also have to edit the 150+ photos my wife and I took. All I can say now is, Thanks, Tom, for cluing us in on these tours, and thanks, Mac and Steve, for extending my knowledge base on Dr Grabow pipes.

| Terry, you expressed the same basic feelings I had about today. A real high spot, and I hope we can repeat it sometime. It was really good to meet you and your wife and R.J. and Tom. And to see the pipes, too! |

Right at this moment I can only echo Terry's comments -- I think I am in such a state of awe that it will take a bit to really begin to understand all I 've heard and have seen. I am hard pressed to remember a time that was much more enjoyable. Sounds like we will have PLENTY of photos after all -- it seems that I took some 220 photos somehow myself. Tom and I went through the photos this evening and made some notes -- I sure needed that as I know I wouldn't remember all the details of what is in the photos.
It'll probably be after I get back home before I can do anything with them, but I am going to take Steve's suggestion to heart and maybe put them up on Photobucket or similar service. I figure doing that and placing a link on this Forum my be the best way to share these photos.
I'll just close for now by saying again what a great time I had. Any part of this trip was well worth it -- getting to meet Tom, Terry and his wife, Steve, seeing the Dr. Grabow Factory and seeing and meeting some of the craftsman there, and just taking in the scenery of Sparta and the surrounding area will be experiences and memories I will cherish for a long, long time. Thanks to everyone for coming and for the fantastic time! And an extra special thanks to Tom and Joyce for letting me stay with them and for their friendship and unbelievable hospitality! --RJ-- |

I hope that we can repeat it as well and I hope that my wife will be able to make it next time!!!
I am just starting to put a few photos up this morning. For those that were there, the photos may not need many captions, but I'll go in later and add some comments. Not sure how many photos I can put up, but I will add more later, and if necessary, narrow down the selection if I can't post them all.
