I'm thinking about the naming of this line.  Which came first to Grabow...the Alpha or the Omega?  Was the Omega so named because of Alpha?  If not, I wonder how it was decided upon.  Just some random thoughts I'm having this morning.  Smile

Mighty deep thinking for a Tuesday morning, sorry I have no idea which came first for Grabow, however I deliberate daily between the them in my random rotation.... LOL  Size of bowl is the determining factor most times.

Grabow named several pipes after automobiles, hence the Riviera, Eldorado, Lark, etc. I hope that was not the case for the Omega. I love the pipes, but really didn't like the cars.  Laughing

In keeping with the pipe naming after cars, I'm really glad Grabow did not consider these:

- Hornet
- Gremlin
- Pinto
- Vega
- I'm sure some of you guys are thinking of others...

And was the Viking Pacer named for the (say it ain't so) AMC Pacer?  Yikes.

KK, Think you "hit it". Mastercraft was importing the ALPHA from 1972 ff.
What better name than OMEGA?..

BTW, I've owned 3 Pinto's. ... and a Geo Metro..
and...  My neighbor , Doug in FL,  has an AMC Pacer for sale. Blue and pristine..  They are still around..  Omega's and old cars..  tom
