Finally got a picture, sorry for the late reply.

The top one is my current favorite.

Top to bottom:

Riviera, Grand Duke, Lark and Bent Duke.

You have a nice collection started there.
Enjoy the pipes in good health.

I thought I really wanted the bend duke, I was looking for a bent lark, but it is not a very good smoker.

I think it might just be this pipe, it had several imperfections from the box.

I have come to like the straight pipes better, not sure what my next one will be, kind of like the looks of the freehand and lots of people seem to like the "Big Pipe".

I am curious what others find to be the smoking Dr. Grabow in current production?

I have some of the "Patriot" , "Special 11" and the new "Ajustomatic" in my rotation. Those pipes were only available from the factory through their email offers.
I haven't yet ordered any of their latest limited edition pipes--waiting until after Christmas.

Like you, I tend to favor straight pipes. Nothing wrong with the bents, its just what I have gotten used to over the years. I still smoke the bents, just not as frequently as my straight pipes. I also favor the older Dr. Grabow ajustomatics. Again, nothing wrong with the new ones. I own a few of them. I just like the challenge of finding and cleaning up the old ones. You can't miss with a Grabow whatever the vintage or shape as far as smoking quality. Everything else is just personal preference and icing on the cake. Very Happy

SGP, If you are checking in, here is a dandy Blond, and fairly priced. Stem is a little ragged, but the rest looks good. ted

Thanks Ted, not really the style I was looking for, but I might consider it.

I saw that style in a local store just today for the first time. (Not blonde)

SGP, I have several #83's, but, like you,  am not as fond of them as some others. Emperor was "Top of the Line" for Grabow. It should be without fills and really good grain. ted
