366 - 432 is about right.

As many as it takes you to figure out which ones you like best.

That's not exactly true Steve. I figured that out back at 30 pipes. I have over 70 now and I feel like I'm just starting to warm up.

well at the rate i'm going it probably won't be that long before i'm well past the 100 mark. i've got everything from kaywoodie to GBD and the funny thing is i keep reaching for a viscount, a little rhodesian, and a regal. they just seem to work very well for me. no snob appeal but tons of smoke appeal. and i really like that they are made in the U.S. .

What do you smoke in the Regal, Ahgar?  I've found they make great Virginia pipes as most of them are on the smaller side.  I've got a larger one that smokes English well.

what i've got is the old lanes blend no53, rum and maple. not an aromatic i beileve just a geezer burley with some very mild topping or casing i get those confused. really closer to carter hall than an aromatic. very mild with a pleasent flavor. it's usually poo pooed by most people but i like it so much i'll pick up another 14 oz tub when i get the chance. it's been discontinued by lane so whats out there is all there will be. does very well in all my grabows.
