I finally got the last pipe to make a seven day set of Starfires. If I remember correctly(which ain't likely) the seventh pipe was one in the batch that Ted or RJ sent me. It is the billiard front and center of the first picture. It had a couple of small holes in the lip that I repaired with Plastex. all of them except the triangular shanked pipe have their original finish,that one was kinda dinged up.
If you look closely just in front of the button you can see the two holes I repaired. The plastex is softer than the vulcanite and when the two are buffed more material is removed from the plastex than the rubber.
And no I still have not refinished that table!!

That pipe does have some really nice grain! The only pipe I have that has a pattern I like better is an Eldorado that has quite a lot of birdseye. _________________ The only thing shorter than my memory is a certain part of my anatomy! |

Thanks Gents! Actually I had seven Starfires before I got the one above but didn't want to put it in a rack because it's still in the box. As you can see,the stem on this one is oxidized also. But there ain't no sticker on it.
