Parfait. So that's what it's called.  All I have done is two tobaccos -- and that was only to use an easy to start top layer for a moister, harder to start and keep lit bottom layer.  I have read of people blending in the bowl, so to speak, but never seen it referred to as "parfait".  Very interesting.  --RJ--

Actually, I think I made it up, but it needed a descriptive term.

Legend, I'm out of Butternut Burley or I'd send you a sample.  It is a nice smoke, too sweet for me but perfect mixed with PA!  Glad you like that Custom Bilt.  I've got 3 at the moment - each one with a flaw that makes them unsuitable for sale on e-bay but still smoke great.

Lefty, did you get that Butternut Burley from pipes and cigars.com? Think I got some from them once.

Made up or not...Its David's "word". I'll continue to use it. The "world of pipes" may have a new term thanks to Dr. B.....ted

Yeah, it one of their own blends - Scotty's blends I think they are called.  Next time I place an order the Butternut Burley will be included but with the supply I picked up at C&D it's likely to be awhile.

BUMP..

Parfait was a David Bridges term for several tobaccos in the same bowl.

I just finished a "parfait" in a Sparta made Alpha Oom Paul... Mark V.

Cream Brulee on the bottom, My(own) Peach in the center, and PA to get the fire started..

WONDERFUL SMOKE. Y'all should try it... td

I've never heard of it either, glad you bumped this thread Tom. I can't wait to try it now, but I think I'll finish this bowl first. Now let me think which tobaccos.....Muahahahahaha.
