I wandered into a walgreens the other day and amazingly enough they had a selection of about 10 grabows. After a little searching I settled on a grand duke, straight, rusticated. Finally got to smoke it today and it's a keeper.I've bought several new dr g's and a beaucoup of estate grabows and as of yet haven't had a stinker. I did have a couple that were a little rough at first but after a little love they come around. Great pipes and a great company. Only problem with grabows is that I can't stop buying them! Ya'll have a good sunday.

Of all the different lines DG lines I think I have had more Grand Dukes in my rotation than any other line.

I was very surprised to see that many pipes at a walgreens. Usually the local store will have maybe 2 and as mentioned above they'll usually be the smaller pipes. If you want to have some fun ask the manager if they can get a bigger variety. You'll get the deer in the headlight. Look. Well it never hurts to try. .

Yeah Rich, I like the 3/4 diameter bowls too and even the Walgreens here have those small Duke pipes on occasion.

Hey all,

I picked up a Grand Duke at Walgreens yesterday, 30 bucks.  Went to a nice local shop to pick up a few different choices of smoke today.

Besides picking up two choices to try, I also walked out with a Rossi 320, for 60 bucks.  It caught my eye as it is the shape of pipe that just calsl me.  It looks very similer to the last bent pipe that that flashes through on the title page of pipes that rotate through.

I smoked the Rossi first, but will be giving the Grand Duke a run through with my second choice of leaves.

Will be looking for a nice bent pipe and a couple of samples to send to my brother for Christmas.  He's sending me a couple of his favorite cigars, so I'll look for some flavors that would be similer and get him that.

I don't smoke much, but sometimes it is just so damn nice to sit down with a quality smoke, a good drink, and just enjoy life a little.

Cheers.

I actually went to a couple of different Walgreens today looking for an Omega.  I almost grabbed a different style Duke at one of the stores.

There's a Royal Duke smooth finish online for 28 bucks that looks kinda nice. It isn't really a bent, but still has a graceful curve to it.

Thanks for the welcome.

fwiw you might look in the for sale section. i believe someone had an omega for sale. most times the pipes you get from these guys are better than new.
