This is the starboard side of my Crown Duke 61 (blue spade).  I've seen discussion on this stamp somewhere but I can't find it and don't remember what was said.  Anyone know how long these stamps were used?  Tom has said the stamps were made depending on how the secretary felt that day, but... Surprised

KK, Script stamps stopped with the invention of the "Selectric" typewriters.
A&M Steel Stamps did EXACTLY what the order called for.. Selectric typewriters weren't good at "script"..

1968/9 or so is when the script stopped...
Actually funny...  that such a simple thing caused such a change... td

That is wild!  Thanks for the help Brother...I like the look of this stamp.  IBM fixed that!

The picture above has been deleted, so it might be what I was searching for. Most Grabows have imported briar stamped in standard block lettering. I have a few that have imported briar stamped in an old English style script. Why are they different, and what era were they made?
