Hello, I'm Wesley. I've been quietly lurking around here for a while now and figured I might as well sign up. I have a small, very small collection of Dr. Grabows, but would like to slowly build that up as I trade off/sell a few other pipes that I never smoke. I've been smoking a pipe for a little over 10 years now and started with a Dr. Grabow. Sadly, I lost that pipe years ago, but have 3 DG's on the rack now. My main collecting focus has been Kaywoodies and Peterson's for years, but now I'm getting into DG's more and more. So far, 1 Westbrook poker, 1 Silver Duke author and 1 Grand Duke billiard. I hope to add a canadian or two soon. Well, there you go and here I am.

P.S. Hello to Steverino and TheDuke, good to see some familiar faces on here.

Wes, welcome. I'm glad you are with us.

One concern about your "friends". Duke works outside in the hot hot Oregu..o..n sun, smokes a pipe shaped like a golf club,  and is questionable. Steve is AOK.

So with that out of the way....WELCOME.

TENNESSEE..My daughter got her Masters at UT Knoxville. I've paid TN a ToN......ted

Welcome, Wesley, I'm happy you gave up lurking here and decided to join in. Although most of our discussions are about DG pipes, we're a BIG TENT party. You're welcome to enjoy your Kaywoodies and Petersons here.

And we won't judge you for how to pack your pipes, or light your pipes, or tump your pipes, or clean your pipes, or store your pipes. If you are enjoying your pipes, then you're okay with us.

Wow Ted! Laughing I'll have you know I mowed the tee's today @40d and constant rain! And the Club is only smoked while watching golf! Then nicely displayed after! Very Happy

Do tell, do tell! What kind? I started spiffing up my Grabow Silver Duke author last night. While smoking a Westbrook poker of course.... I have a few Kaywoodies in the "need fixin" box as well. I recently sold a Peterson so I can have some Grabow spending money, lol. That particular pipe didn't smoke worth anything.

Wes-My Kaywoodie is a Reliefgrain 13(Dublin w/a 3 hole stinger).The end was chewed off,so I've roughed in a new button. Gotta pick up a couple of smaller files to finish her off. Looking foward to loading up the 2" bowl! It's also good pratice for a SilverDuke Dublin I lost and unfortunatly found with the lawnmower! Lobbed about 3/4" off the stem. Gonna be Lovat lengthed when refurbed!

edit=it's got a 4 hole stinger
