I saw on another board that CAO is going to be the new Dunhill distributor for the U.S.  I don't know which blends will be available, but I'm guessing it will be limited to Early Morning Pipe, 965 and maybe Nightcap and Standard Mixture Medium.  Sure would like to have some Elizabethan Mixture and Aperitif again.

Anybody else here like the Dunhill blends?

Interesting.  I just today bought a tin of MOONTRANCE (exotic fruit+bourbon vanilla) which my local tobacco shop picked up while at a convention of something.  They said it was soemthing new that CAO ("flavors by CAO") was getting in to.  It says on the can, "Pipe tobacco made in Denmark by Scandinavian Tobacco Group for CAO International".  It's actually pretty darn good by the way.

I don't know much about Dunhill blends.  My sister-in-law gave me some Nightcap and I didn't really care for it -- too strong on the latakia for my tastes and it sort of just tasted like any of a slew of other "English" blends I have smoked to me.  I don't remember if I ever had any other Dunhill stuff.  --RJ--

Yeah, I would probably say the same thing about Nightcap, especially now.  I used to smoke English blends a lot more but have kind of gotten away from heavy latakia blends, especially since the ones with higher percentages of latakia seem to give me a headache these days.

Early Morning Pipe is good if you like a mild oriental, and 965 seems to be a favorite with a lot of people.  What I miss the most is Elizabethan Mixture, which was a Virginia/perique blend, and The Aperitif, which was a slightly aromatic mild English blend.  Durbar, a stronger relative of EMP, was one of my favorites as well.  I don't think either of these will be brought back.
