Duke...If you go without frost from may 15 till' september 15, you can grow tobacco. Thats our growing season. We are about 4000 ft.....ted

Finally got my burley done. Gonna let it set for a while and see how it comes out. The Middletons cherry tub has some CH and Ted's mixed for shop use if I misplace my pouch.

We're @ 4200ft but had frost on June 15th this year. May have to enlist the help of one of the bay windows to give them a jumpstart! EM _________________ I burn the PA fella in the red can! |

Y'all talking about growing tobacco has got me interested. I'm surrounded by tobacco fields here in TN. I'll have to get a few transplants from my uncle next year.
On another note. I see tobacco leaves in the middle of the road all through late summer/ early fall that's fallen off the tobacco wagons. Guess I'll have to pitch in and help keep the city clean next year by picking those stragglers up........... |
