Which reminds me, I've got until November 30th to get my requests for vacation time in for 2010. Any idea yet when we might be having that meeting? It's hard for me to get my vacation change or secure time off once it's etched in stone by my Company. --RJ-- |
Probably best if you pick the dates. We can adjust(omatic) to yours. We need to schedule it one day after you arrive....remember the airline schedule...and I need to make arrangements with Rick at the factory...ted |

As I want my wife to come this time -- and maybe spend a few days more in the area than I did before -- I'll check with her and get back with you. Maybe try and pick a week in July again? That's the hardest month for me to get time in, but if I make it my choice, I might can swing it.
Is "summer" a good time for everyone else who would want to come? Excellent time for us to escape the heat in Texas then! --RJ-- |

Anytime in July would work for me. I sort of half-way tried to set something up back in late July or early August, but I could never get hold of Rick Wooten. When I called, he wasn't available, and vice versa. I was shooting for a Friday through Sunday kind of thing, but then found out the factory doesn't operate on Fridays. So, any time would be good for us, as I said.

Appears you may have to submit your vacation request to Warren Buffet. Meet the new boss. |

Wish that would help, but no favortism is shown in scheduling of vacations -- just seniority with only 11 Engineers off at any one time. I am #24 on the roster (I was #110 when I started over 30 years ago!).
Now, if it was JIMMY Buffet, I might stand a chance of influence . . . --RJ-- |

| Yes, July is good with me and I would echo what ted said, RJ - work it out with your schedule then let us know. I am a government employee and am nothing if not flexible. I am planning for my wife to come as well, but she has workshops off and on through the summer, so I can never tell very far in advance. We won't try to take that into account with scheduling. |

I am presently trying to work out something in July and coordinate it with the wife and her work schedule. She said July is good. I won't know until late December or early January if I am successful in getting a week or two of time in July. --RJ-- |

That's true, at least. Favoritism, payolla and arbitrary decision making won't come into play -- it's pretty cut and dried. --RJ-- |
