I just read on Ed's Facebook page where he passed away this morning as a result of injuries he sustained in a fire at his home a few days ago.  Ed was such an example for those of us on this forum.  He will be missed greatly.

My sympathies go out to Ed's family in this trying time.

This is terrible news,I never got to meet Ed but did have some great conversations and trades with him over the years,RIP Ozark Southpaw.

Awful. Greatest sympathies extended to his family. Ed was irreplaceable and will be missed. Had opened the Bourbon Blend tin from him and had bagged some to ship out, it'll be smoked in remembrance instead.

All I can say is check it again.  His brother Jimmie made a post about 8 hours ago, and since then many people have expressed their sympathy.

Well that's a kick in the nuts. I didn't know anything about a fire or injuries.

While I never met him in person, I considered him a friend, a mentor and a counselor when I needed him. He will be dearly missed and I look forward to lighting up a bowl with him in Heaven someday soon.

I got my first refurb pipe from him, a wire carved Starfire 83, which made me to want to know how he did it. He was always willing to offer advice and guidance on the best techniques and always had kind supportive words of encouragement to anyone who wanted to learn.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
